ELLIPTICAL EQ / STEREO WIDTH CONTROL

This unit utilizes a trick wherein the difference between the left and right signals ("Side" in M/S) is added to or subtracted from the original L/R signals in order to alter the perceived stereo width.

The "Elliptical EQ" uses a variable low pass filter to convert low frequency information to mono. This is extremely important for vinyl mastering and often helpful in general mastering. The "50%" switch changes the summing to "half mono" for a more subtle effect.

The stereo width side is variable from full mono to double width. A variable high pass filter excludes low frequencies so they remain unaffected. A separate gain control allows fine tuning the level up or down.

This unit is built to order and all of the controls can be customized to suit your particular needs. The price including customization is $1,800. Turnaround time is usually 1-2 months.
